Dear FitRec Members,
In March 2024, the Health, Fitness & Recreation Center (FitRec) celebrated its 10th year of operations at Moraine Valley Community College. I’m happy to say that today we are helping over 4,000 community members on their health and wellness journey and have added or expanded programs, including group fitness, personal training, stretch coaching, nutrition coaching, kids camp, swim lessons and more! We have worked hard over the last decade to continually provide quality programs and services, add equipment and maintain facility spaces at a high level.
As we look ahead, we want to continue our growth to better meet the needs of our community. To do so and offset rising staffing and operational costs, FitRec will adjust some membership prices, effective Sept. 1, 2024.
These changes are necessary to help provide our members and guests with the best possible equipment, programs, services and staff. The following membership types will be affected by these upcoming changes: Community, Community + Household Member, Community + Child, Community Family, Senior, Military, Breakfast Club, Cyclone and MVCC Employee.
Community | 1-Month = $70; Monthly = $60
*Spouse/Household Member | 1-Month = $50; Monthly = $44
*Dependent (Ages 3 – 22) | 1-Month = $33; Monthly = $28
Community Family | 1-Month = $135; Monthly = $120
Senior (65 and older) | 1-Month = $52; Monthly = $44
Military | 1-Month = $52; Monthly = $44
Breakfast Club | 1-Month = $42; Monthly = $34
Cyclone | 1-Month = $50; Monthly = $42
MVCC Employee | 1-Month = $34; Monthly = $30
Note, you do not need to take any action. Annual memberships paid upfront before Sept. 1 will not be affected by the increase until after the expiration date of the paid membership. Annual memberships will continue to receive a 10% discount. If you are billed monthly, you will see this fee increase on your September bill. Current members will be charged the current prices for August.
